Four years into the ACReSAL Project, we gathered in Lagos for the Mid-Term Review and Additional Financing Mission—an important milestone to reflect on our journey, consolidate gains, and strategically chart the future of land restoration across 19 states and the FCT.
The review provided a valuable platform for stakeholders to assess progress, share lessons learned, and strengthen alignment on key priorities. Over the past four years, the project has made significant strides in promoting sustainable land management, restoring degraded landscapes, and improving livelihoods within vulnerable communities.
Beyond measuring achievements, the mission also focused on identifying gaps and unlocking new opportunities through additional financing—ensuring that the impact of ACReSAL continues to expand in both scale and sustainability.
What stood out throughout the engagement was the collective commitment to building climate-resilient communities and safeguarding our environment for future generations. The discussions were insightful, forward-looking, and grounded in a shared vision of long-term impact.
As we move into the next phase, the focus remains clear: deepen results, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate progress towards a greener, more sustainable Nigeria.
