PLATEAU STATE ACReSAL PROJECT PRESENTS POULTRY AND FEEDS TO EMPOWER WIDOWS AND VULNERABLE WOMEN IN JOS SOUTH AND JOS JORTH LGAs

In a heart-warming initiative aimed at empowering widows and vulnerable women in Jos South and Jos North LGA to provide sustainable livelihood opportunities for the beneficiaries.

The presentation of poultry and feeds to widows and vulnerable women in Jos North and Jos South LGA’s is a shining example of Community-Driven empowerment initiative that has the potential to creating lasting positive impact and improve the livelihoods of marginalized groups.

The event which took place in the area, was attended by Local Government Officials, Representatives from Non-Governmental Organizations and Memyof the community.

During the presentation, a total number of 200 widows and vulnerable women were each provided starter kits comprising of poultry birds and high-quality feeds.

The beneficiaries were also given training on poultry farming techniques, proper feeding practices and basic business management skills to ensure the success of their ventures.

Speaking at the event, Elizabeth Homsuk, one of the beneficiaries, expressed her gratitude for the support, stating that the initiative would not only provide her with a source of income but also empower her to become self-reliant and support her family.

The Local Government Officials commended the ACReSAL Project for their efforts in uplifting the lives of vulnerable women in the community and pledged their support for similar initiatives in the future.

According to the Plateau State ACReSAL acting Natural Resources Officer, Mr Nanbal Hassan “ As the beneficiaries embark on their journey into poultry farming, we hope that they will not only achieve financial independence but also inspire others in their community to pursue their dreams and overcome challenges they may face.
